Need Tire Size Help

I just bought a set of used 17's for my other car and as of right now they have 245/45/17's on them....Well I want to put smaller tires on the front considering I dont need that big of a tire for my front's. Im not an expert on tire/wheel fitment and would like some help. The wheels are 17x8's for all four.

The other car these are going on is a S14 240...(I still have my RX7 though)

too small in diameter, maintaining diameter would be 225/45 17

thats what I run in front. but it will look pretty small if your car isn't really low. is that 215 just going to be in front, and the 245 in back?
