Need new Rotors
Need new Rotors
Hello guys! I'm new to the page and was wondering if you have any suggestions regarding brake rotors for my '94. Car is in Greece now and I will be joining it soon. The rotors are completely worn and I need new ones.
I was looking at Brembo and Power Slot, any good recomendations?

What do you use the car for?
There have been many discussions on this topic, here's my take from them:
If you drive the car on road racing tracks, you need as much mass in the rotor as you can get to resist fade and cracking. If you use the car on the track, get Mazda OEM or Brembo (or other high quality) stock-style rotors. No slots, and definitely no holes.
If you don't drive the car on the track, get whatever you like best for aesthetic or cost reasons. Drilled and/or slotted rotors are fine for anything short of the track.
Cars with bigger rotors can get away with drilled and slotted on the track, but the FD needs the most durable rotor you can find in the stock size for heavy usage.

i mostly use the car to cruise around my island. No track use but the car's rotors have not been changed since the begining. the car has now 108K miles and last time I was there it **** the bed...I need to rebuild the engine on it.
Thanks for the advice, I think I will stick with stock Brembos or maybe upgrade to power slot if I have some extra cash.
