need help with tire sizes on 18x9 and 18x10 kinesis

I've got 18x9 +48 rims with 245/35/18s and 18x10 +52 rims with 275/35/18s. The tires all look "streched" on the rims. I would much rather have a squared off sidewall/tire rather than the rounded streched look. Help with tire sizes please!!

Rear: 285/30/18

Those are great offsets! I have the same size wheels with a +43 front and rear, I run the 255 & 285 sizes I just mentioned and they are very square on the wheel. I just barely clear my fenders, so you should have no problems with rubbing. the tires I'm running are Bridgestone RE050A. It's a little difficult to find tires with these sizes, but if you search TireRack you'll find plenty of options. However if you don't want to spend $1000+ on tires, I know you can get a set of Falken FK451's in these sizes for about $800 or so. Feel free to PM me.

Hey Dean,

Looking good! I never had a problem with the tire sizes, but to each his own. Goodluck.

Use a different brand of tire. You've got Toyo T1S, which have rounded sidewalls and will always look that way on a proper size wheel...there's nothing wrong with those sizes, though could use a 255/35 up front.

Try Bridgestone S03's or Pirelli's.

I agree, yoko's run wide as well. Falken's run ok in 18"but go real thin in 19" so they will work but not my 1st choice. The S03 would do the thrick. If you go with a 255/35 up front and a 285/30 rear, the front will look taller that the rear. That might or might not be important.

Like I said in my first post, I have 255/35 front and 285/30 rear. The fronts are about a half an inch taller than the rears if you put them side by side. but when the wheels are on and the car is lowered evenly all the way around, I can't see any difference.

So its 255/35/18 f and 285/30/18 r or 245/35/18 f and 275/35/18 r (which is what I have, I just need tires other than toyo t1s) . Wy does the tire rack recommend 235/40/18 f and 265/35/18 r? Are these just safe recommendations for a car with stock ride height?

Tire rack is very conservative. Keep in mind that a 245/35-18 and a 285/30-18 are the same height. This would make a 3rd option. The rear would definately be square, the concern would be on the 245 on the 9.0. Tire choice would make a difference on the front.
