Need Help with Sizing Wheels (Larger Aftermarket Calipers) from Wheel Experts!!
Well Looks like I am replacing all my wheels. Most would say ok no problem but I have Porsche 933 Calipers in the front so it makes this whole process a lot more interesting. I decided to take my car to Discount Tire Direct's local store for measurements and they have yet to call me with assistance (I doubt I will buy from them now). I have come to the realization I should figure it out with the forums help instead.
Any way the current wheel specs are
17" x 9 (45 mm offset and 5 x 114.3 Lug Pattern)
I want to replace them with 17 or 18 inch
I am finding 8.5 and 9.5 in the width for the wheels I want. The problem lies in which width and offset I need to clear the calipers. The current set up clears the calipers with about a inch room from caliper to spoke. Rear Brakes are stock size rotors and calipers so they are not an issue (i.e whatever fits the front will work on the rear). The size is not an issue (i.e 17 or 18 inch will fit) Just concerned about the spokes clearing the calipers width wise (To my knowledge effected by offset and width)
Any help is appreciated. I have some pictures below
