Was woundering if anybody in familiar with adjusting these. I bought the car with them on and it just seems like they are off. One side in the rear seems softer then the other side and on top of that its seems like the compression or spring is set to hard in rear any help would be greatful. Trying to get my car ready for road racing also have adjustable sway bars strut bar, toe links and trailing arms.

Setting the HA's is pretty straight forward adjust the heights with a spanner wrench to your desired heights some where around 25in from ground to the top of the fender for track use, and then you can bring your shock settings back to the tightest position which they start from when you buy them new and go 8 clicks back then start your adjustments from there. Hope that helps.....

BTW running them to low is not good beacuse the shock will be too close to bottoming out.

HA's are single height adjustable by the spring perch only, iirc.

that makes things a little simpler.

find a flat surface. throw a 150lb weight in the driver seat. then go around the whole car and adjust the perch until the heights are even all around the car and the car is at the height you want.

this is a big pain in the *** obviously, since you need to jack up the car and take the wheel off to adjust. additionally, changing one corner affects the other corners so it's going to take some time. don't forget to use a good frame of reference. and make sure the spring is fully seated under no load.

it sounds like whoever installed them before did a shitty job of it. once you do the above i seriously, seriously, seriously suggest you go to a shop and have the car aligned and corner weighed. definitely do it if you are serious about road racing. corner weigh is the only proper way to set up coilover suspension.

Tein HA Setup Instructions

I have the Tein guide for setting up HAs on the FC3S in pdf format. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. It's 344 KB, so it's a little too large to post here.

I have them on my FC3S and love them; I switched from the Ground Control coilovers.
