You sure you don't mean 265/35-18? 285/35-18 is too wide for 9.5, and too tall (26 inches) in overall diameter?

Keep them bronze/gold, its semi-original and looks awesome. The only other color I would think of on your car would be a darker color.

What do you mean 26 inches? And yes, I'm positive they are 285/35/ZR18, I'll get a picture if you like? Thanks, and keep those comments coming!

^^^^Overall diameter of 285/35-18 tires is 26 inches, that's one taller than the stock 225/50-16 size. When plus-sizing it's important to stay within the stock tire's overall tire diameter to maintain stockrear-end gearing and ride height. 285 mm is at least 11.2 inches wide. You're squeezing 11-inch tires on 9.5-inch rims? Not a good idea for optimum performance. You need AT LEAST 10s or 10.5 wide for 285s...

Sleep, it looks fine to me, and again I'm not sure of the wheel size, just the tire size. The tire doesn't hang over the wheel at all, and looks perfectly straight up and down wheen looking from the top. And I don't think a 285 tire with 35% sidewall is 26 inches, I think it's more like 22 inches overall, my sidewall is only about 1-2 inches tall. I'll get you a picture next time I post

Overall tire diameter is calculated thusly:

[(mm width x aspect ratio as decimal) x 2/25.4] + wheel diameter in inches.

285/35-18 overall diameter would be:

(285 x 0.35 x2/25.4) + 18 = 25.85 inches.

Maybe you mean 285/30-18. That works out to 24.7 inches in overall diameter.

FWIW, the widest SSR Integrals come is 9-inches wide (17- or 18-inch diameters).

I have a set (of FIVE) SSR Integral A2s in 9 x 17, 45-mm offset all around with 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS I's (overall tire diameter of 25 inches). I have the brilliant silver finish, and it looks great with a red FD. Classic look.

I've seen the Integral A2s in polished finish with red. Looks fantastic. Also white (too ricey).

First time for a gold set of Integral A2s on a red car.

Certainly different, but I don't like it...nuff said

Read the tire sidewall and tell us what the tire size is. I'm thinking it's a 265/35-18 on a 9 x 18 SSR Integral A2.

As I mentioned, try to get those centercaps color-matched. They look mis-matched with the machined finish caps (which are the "stock" caps for the silver Integral A2s).

Yeah, that was my bad- the sidewall is 30%, however they are still 285's, I have some red spraypaint I might use on those caps if I decide to keep them gold. Almost made up my mind guys, keep on coming with those comments!

285 on a 9-inch wide rim? That's amazing. Most tire manufacturers recommend a minimum rim width of 10 inches for a 285/30-18?

Hey unixpilot, those are white so I guess that means that my 7 with the gold's will be the only one. Thanks SleepR1 for that information, but I just bought the wheels with those tires from guy who had them on an NSX and they didn't look like they were hanging off the rim. And, yes next time I buy tires I will go a smaller width, also because I won't be able to afford the 285's anyway, thanks and feel free to post any comments on your mind!

Yeah, that's the "Sleep R-1", my '93 VR FD R1. It HAD SSR Comps in 8.5 fr and 9.5 rr x 17 with 245/45-17 fr and 275/40-17 rr Hoosier R3S03s. I sold the setup to Jaymz.
