My New motor mounts
I've been making motor mounts all week and I figured while I was at it, I'd whip up a few sets of the ones I designed for my FC. I wasn't happy with anything I'd seen on on the market and designed something to meet my needs.
The rubber will absorb some of the low rpm/idle vibrations while still drastically limiting engine movement. During the summer/race season I can swap the rubber out for an aluminum spacer and run fully solid. I also pocketed the inside of the large aluminum portion to save weight. Total weight with hardware is 0.70lbs each which is about half of stock.

I just finished installing them and I'm actually quite happy. My passenger side one was shot so it's not a great comparison but at idle there actually less vibration, and my shifter isn't bouncing around any more. At highway speeds it's a tiny bit noisier and just cruising around it was hard to tell the difference except for there is no slop in the drivetrain when stabbing the throttle.
Engaging the clutch is the only time you really notice the vibrations. At about 1500-1750 it gets fairly shakey. Dropping the clutch from 5500 the car just squats and goes with no wheel hop ..... doing a brake stand resulted in some burnt clutch due to the new found traction :S
