MR2 using FD rims, whats the offset?

Hi there. I have a set of FD rims im using for my MR2. I need to know the offset so I can have an idea of what size DR I can fit. I was thinking a 255/50/16 and I might tuck my fenders in a bit, but I am not sure what the offset of the rim is (or whether my car has spacers or not, I dont think it does)

Or if I should not even risk it rubbing too much, and run a 245/50/16? I need enough tread to get the power to the ground. I estimate I have a 2600lb chassis with about 320-340whp on race day, and am shooting for high/mid 11's.
I know nothing impressive to you FD guys, but im still on a stock unopened JDM 3rd gen 3sgte, on stock untuned fuel system with relatively few modifications, I could recreate my setup with an ebay 50 trim kit and $1000.

Whats the offset on stock FD rims?
I think one of the ones I have is one of those defective cracking FD rims that hasnt cracked yet, and the other is a later generation that had that problem corrected. They are so light and wide enough for a MRWD car, they make a great cheap, lightweight Drag rim I have found, I think ppl have ran 8's using them.

I run 245/45/16 all around on my FD. I'm not sure what you should run. I don't know crap about MR-2s. Maybe Gene (RX7Rage) can chime in here. He has a Fd and a MR2 DD.

The lighter wheels aren't what I consider defective. However, it's worth inspecting them for cracks at every reasonable opportunity.

Unless you're on a track throwing >1.0G turns on sticky rubber, I don't think you're a likely candidate for a problem. Even still, there aren't that many people who have broken a wheel.

I doubt that playing with tire sizes is going to net you much extra traction, if any at all. I would figure out what diameter wheel you had as stock, and size the tire on the FD wheel to match. Then go to the wider size if you have more than one close match. Stretching tires much in either direction results in lower cornering grip, and unless you're drifting it makes no sense.

Im using these tires strictly for drag racing and I would think sidewall size and width would be important for traction. However traction isnt really a bad problem with MR2's, since the engine is right over the drive tires, and are often classed with AWD cars in racing classes, but still, 320-340whp in 2600lb chassis is going to need some traction to get it all to the ground in the quickest time possible. However your right in that there isnt as much tire width or sidewall flex required to get good traction with a MR2 than say a FRWD V8.

the rims are going to hit the shocks in the front, you'll need a small spacer.
