Looking to have 200 - 225 hp this spring am wondering if the stock size 205 60 14 on my 85 SE are going to keep up for the street and occasional road course time trials. I got AVS intermediates now that I LOVE but. . . The car is getting a mild body resto in the nxt month or so and I dont want to have her all done up and find I need more fender clearence for bigger rubber. The car rides 3/4 in the front and 1" in the rear, lower with the racing beat springs I run. So. . . first will I upset the handling dynamics of the car if i just try to run like a 215 60 14 or 225 55 14 in the back with stock rubber up front, I know space in the front is limited as the fronts already rub on the inside under full lock. Will those other sizes even fit in the rear with the stock wheel offset (does any one know what that is off hand?) or should I be looking to have my body guy roll my wheel arches, or more, in anticipation of the powa to come.
