More stopping power than Axxis Ultimates?

More stopping power than Axxis Ultimates?

Just wondering if anyone has found a set of brake pads that have definitively more braking power than Axxis Ultimates, yet are still streetable?

I need something that has more instant bite than the ultimates, but doesn't require warming up and also doesn't squeal. Dusting doesn't really matter as long as it's not corrosive. So far I'm looking at the following pads: Porterfield R4S, EBC Yellows, and Carbotech Bobcats.

I have the EBC yellows. At a small track I toasted the ultimates within 4 laps. EBC yellows held up the whole day. Less dust than ultimates also. I dont know if your looking for a street pad that offers more bite or a track pad that is streetable... EBC work best for track/street in my opinion

Now the only bad thing about the yellows is that they do need A LITTLE heat to bite good. It wont give the initially bit of the ultimate's when cold but ounce the warm up a little they do.

Check out the Carbotech AX6.

I have used the hawks and the carbotechs. Yes make sure and go with Bobcat or AX6. Anything above that in the Carbo's will require heat to operate correctly.

I'm pretty much sold on Porterfield RS-4 for a street/ track pad. For track only, Porterfield R4s are tough to beat.

I've never tried Ferodo's but I hear they are decent. I have used a variety of Carbotech pads and love them. I'll most likely be using them exclusively on my vehicles except for my FD track day pad which I use N-Tech pads.
