Is more rubber always better, 17 x 9" up front?
I was wondering about the handling charaterists of an fc that has 17 x 9's in the front and the rear. A friend of mine has some old rims that have a +10 offset. I want use them so that my wheels stick out a little out (so the overfenders look like they belong). I've been using 7.5" w/ a very low offset, pushing rubber to the outside of the car, but that makes the stance wider. I was wondering how the cornering will change with the wider contact surface of 9" wide tires. Will it feel like a porshe or be too hard to turn because of more resistance and no 4wd like the porshe has? My car is a n/a with minor mods and i don't know if i need all the rubber, but it sure does look nice w/ overfenders . Also, they are an easy swich if i want to put them in the rear!

i can help you a little.... 17x9's up front is at least the widest you can put.... but you will have to put 225 or 235x40r17 size of tires.... this size of wheel is actually be too wide up for front unless you widen your front fenders more and it rubber will stick out.... and you will feel that it will oversteer a little so you need to maneuver the timing to counter steer it. best with wider wheels at the back of course.....
