modifying a 3 piece wheel (off set)

Is it possible to have the center portion of a wheel removed from the pre-existing rim and transfered to a newly spun rim to achieve desired off set?

I really like a set of older 3 piece wheels, but the off sets that were available are on the conservitive side.

If possible, where would someone go to have a service like this done?

And how safe is it to do so?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the wheel brand and model. There are custom lips and faces that exist for some, but not for others.

OZ's MAE Crown Jewel 3 piece (I really like the II's, but the III's are easier to find)
