Mixed the wrong brake fluids.
Mixed the wrong brake fluids.
So for the first time, amazingly, I have screwed up on the RX-7. I mixed some dot 4 fluid with dot 5. NOT dot 5.1. So the silicone and glycol are not mixing. There is no air in the lines but the dot5 from what I have read is just crap. Overly compressible and it shows in the pedal. So I bought some ate super blue dot 4 and am wanting to know if anyone has any tips on getting all of the old fluid.
I am not 100% against having to pull all of the lines, abs motor and calipers but would absolutely love to not have to do that. Anyone have any ideas?

What he said just keep bleeding each wheel until all you get is super blue, not sure why u put dot 5 in there in the first place since it is meant for non-abs cars, that is why it feels spongy, dot 5 is very prone to aeration caused by the abs unit

As long as it is only brake fluids mixed, you should be fine.
My previous Miata had who-knows-what dumped in the Master Cylinder (Someone else did this). The seals finally swelled to the point that the car wouldn't move because the brakes were all locked.
That was a complete Brake R&R, except for the hard lines - be glad it was only the wrong brake fluid you have to deal with.
