I started installing my coilovers and brakes today. I finished the left rear, but when I got finished I noticed top of the rear stabilizer control link is right against the body of the damper. I'm assuming this is due to the larger diameter of the dampers in addition to the fact that I adjusted the coilovers to give me a 2" drop in ride height. Anybody else with coilovers encounter this problem? You guys think there is any chance of damage to the damper? If you can't picture what I"m talking about check out page R-27 of the FSM. Item #2 is the rear stabilizer control link.

 

Put it back on the ground and see how close it is. I put two sets of these on my cars and noticed the clearance also. Does not affect play

Tom..you were right. When I put it back on all four there is now about a 1/4" clearance between the control link and the damper. Now all I have to do is dial in the height. I set the front dampers for what I thought was going to be the right height, but when I put it on the ground the fender wells are within about an inch of the tires.

 

having same problem the rear coilover HKS HYPER is hitting the boby making weird noise what can i do to fix it i was thinking is a blown shock

 

i was having the same problem when i maxed the drop out on my megans. it goes away once rear camber is fixed.
