Measuring front/rear toe corectly

So I am thinking of finally getting off my butt and having some simple bolt on string jigs made so I can do my own alignments once I acquire a camber gauge.

Now, toe in is measured on a rack in degrees, but we usually refer to it in inches. For instance let's say you have 1/16" of toe in. Is that 1/16" measured at the leading edge of the tire or of the wheel? I think wheel because that's where I see everyone pull measures from, but maybe they are converting them?

Hey Damon, I'll see if I can borrow an alignment book from our local guys and I'll bring it to Dallas when I'm there next weekend.

Thanks, Carson. I will be in Bedford all day Sunday the 21st for an autox; we'll have to get together when you're here.
