Unhappy m2/advance design coilovers in, now squeaking???

I installed the M2/Advance Design coilvoers, and I am getting a bad sqeaking from the top of the rear shock towers. I can hear it constantly, and it gets worse over bumps or whenever the suspension compresses. It sounds high pitched like rubber rubbing on something. I checked everything and couldn't find a problem. Everything is tight. I even lubed all the pieces. Any ideas while I wait to hear back from Richards? Other that that the car drives real nice and handles great.

Did you take the rubber piece that sits on top of the center bolt off ? I have Apex N1 suspension and it was really noisy if I don't put them back on. Don't know where the the high pitch sound came from though...

You mean th rubber disk that goes between the center bolt and the shock tower? I don't believe it fits with the m2 supension but I thought about trying that.

Silver: I've got the same setup, but don't have the squeaks. If everything is tightened down properly, then my guess would be that urethane piece that sits between the top of the spring and the top plate assembly. Maybe hit it with some Vinylex....

If you can get the squeak at low (walking) speeds, maybe you can get a buddy to jog along next to the car and pinpoint the squeak...

I think it might be the rubber or urethane or whatever piece that is between the upper mount and the spring. What is Vinylex and where can I get it? Sounds like it sqeaks as the sping pushes on it.

Vinylex is made by the guys that make Lexol. It's in the blue bottle, and Lexol is in the brown bottle. I use it instead of Armor All (hate that ****), but any vinyl dressing should work. OTOH, might be worth finding some urethane grease, which should stick around longer, or maybe some pure teflon grease-- DuPont used to sell this stuff in syringes for bicycles, guns, etc. Actually any grease that doesn't attack the urethane should work. On my car, when I jack it up, the springs will fall away from the urethane ring, so ring is accessible.
