looking for larger tires. can i use my stock rims?
Recently swapped a 13b turbo into my car and it goes a hell of a lot faster now, however now I need to look into getting tires with a higher speed rating. Problem is, i have the stock 15 inch rims and no one seems to make a tire with a speed rating high enough for the stock size anymore. (205 60 15). Actually as i'm writing this, I found ONE manufacturer that makes tires with a Y speed rating for that size, but its from a company called "Otani" (their KC2000 to be specific) and I'm a bit skeptical so some insight if anyone has dealt with their tires before would be helpful.
Now I've heard its possible to fit wider tires on the same rims, my question is how much wider? 215 60 15 is the next step up in wider tires but all of the tires I've seen are 200-300 each which is way over my budget.
so how wide can i make my tires? I'm looking for options, any help is greatly appreciated.

They make 225s in 15" but the stock wheels might be a bit narrow for 225s. Aren't they 15"x6" or something?

I don't know which gen you have. If an SA or FB, you can get by with a 7" wide wheel. If you have an FC, maybe try to find some Turbo II wheels in 16" if you're on a budget or go to aftermarket 17"x8" or wider where you'll have plenty of wider sizes available.

Y-tires are rated for 186 mph. Most of the extreme performance street tires at the track are V-rated and good for 149.
I would not trust a no-name brand at those speeds.
There isn't much demand for 15" tires, so they make very few sizes. Look into larger diameter and wider wheels.
