Looking for cheap 16x8 wheels for our chump

I'm looking for some 16x8 wheels for our chump car. 5x114. +30 or less offset. Straight enough to balance right. I couldn't care less what they look like. Lighter the better. Take offs from something common would be great. Z32 NA 300zx wheels are BARELY too high of offset. It's for our 2nd gen rx7. I'd like to find two full sets.

Any ideas? Buying something new would be silly for this project.

You need FD wheels and my spacer conversion, along with the hubring conversion.

This is probably your cheapest option. It will run you about $300.00 per set of wheels, +50 offset and less than 15lbs per wheel. Then the spacers are less than 2lbs each and you would get a 20mm studded spacer. It's plug and play. I have this setup on my GTUs and it's probably the best affordable lightweight reputable thing for the FC since DTSS Toe eliminator bushings. hehe.

I'd just run 16X7 99-04 Mustang V6 wheels. They are cheap, pretty light, and are a decent offset.

Those Mustang rims are actually 16x7.5" with a 30mm offset. They are hot forged so they are strong and at 16.7lbs each they are light weight. They were offered with 3 or 4 center cap, polished or paint, but they were all the same rim. I picked my set of four up for $200 so they are cheap. They fit over the T2 brakes and you do not need any spacers in the front of back. They are NOT hubcentric, so you have to be be careful snugging up the lug nuts. The 7.5" width will work with 225/50-16 tires up front. I also run the same tire in the rear.

Thanks for all the good input. The mustang wheels look like my best bet. I would love to run FD wheels but the spacers are a bit of an issue. I don't think I could get them through tech, I'm pretty sure the rules don't allow them (probably a safety issue). I even have 3 extra sets of FD rims in my garage right now :P.

If the mustang wheels have a bigger bore than the FC, I could just get rings to convert them. Thanks again guys!
