Kumho V700 on stock FC wheel.....

My enquiry is about the Kumho V700 being used on the stock S5 T2 wheels. Unfortunetly, I dont have my new wheels yet so im stuck with using the stock wheels.

Currently im using the Falken Azenis 215/45/16 and it fits perfect. -2.4camber front with 1/32 toe in. Suspension is FLTA2s with linear wound springs. Space is very tight, maybe 8-9mm between the wheel rim and the spring perch.

The V700 comes in 205/45/16 or 225/50/16. Id prefer to use the 225 all around but will it hit the front spring perch? Even though their r compound tires, i feel its a bit retrogressive to move to 205s from 215s.

I know I can run the 205s in front with the 225s in the rear but the car is perfectly neutral and think this may put an understeer bias on it. Can the 225s fit? Or will the 205s be sufficient? Thanks in advance.

225s are the largest that'll fit under stock fenders up front. =)

Thats what I've also commonly heard but it doesn't seem likely in my situation.

Thats alot of camber..

anyway, if you using the stock wheels, you can use the 225-50's and they'll fir with no issues.. Don't go any wider with 7" wheels. 205's are to narrow.

you can fit 235's up front with the correst offset.. I fyou ran 5mm spacers it might fit.. never tried it though

Yea its a bit. But even if it was less, I dont think it'd help me out because the wheel would move with the shock right?

So you think the 225s will fit even with the small amount of clearance between the wheel and spring perch?

I thought about the spacer as well but was told from two people that even a 5mm spacer wouldn't leave enough threads on the stock studs.....

5mm is the max you want to go. Its enough thread, but I found myself always checking the tension

You have to straighten out that wheel or those Kumho's won't last 20 laps go with about .5 deg- on the fronts and they'll still fit fine. If you move the camber, yes the wheel moves with that assembly... Looking back. If you have 8-9mm clearence now and add 5mm to each side (225) you should still be okay. If not they make 2-3 & mm spacers.. I think Rishie has them @ ARD
