kinda odd question

if the measurement from the backplate to the lip is 4 ad 1/8 inches.. whats the offset?

It depends on the width of the wheel. The measurement you have is call backspacing.

Subtract half the wheel width from your backspacing and that is your offset.

IE. (width / 2) - backspacing = offset.


Generally offset is measured in mm so you will have to convert your wheel width and backspacing from inches to mm.
