JIC Coilover how to adjust on car

I just purchased a set of JIC FLT A2's for my FD. I read somewhere on the forum that you can adjust the ride height, while the coilovers on the car.

Can someone tell me how this done? Because it looks like I have to remove the bottom bracket from the a arm each time I want to adjust the height, is this true?

Thanks

Don't remove the bottom part.
loosen the purple lock nuts,
then grab the whole body, the one with spring on it, and turn them, the whole body will turn, except the bottom part, so you can thread the whole body in or out of the bottom part.

Loosen the lower of the three lock nuts (mine are red) to allow the shock body to move. Take your two spanner wrenches and put them on the upper two lock nuts. Tighten the upper lock nuts into each other using the two wrenches and then you should be able to thread the tube into or out of the shock body.

You guys are awesome. I must have stared at that damn coilover for 2 hours trying to figure out how it would adjust without removing from the car.

just remember everytime you adjust them, you should get an alignment since it changes your toe.

I put the rears in on Sunday, and I was going to put the fronts on sometime this week.

I had to pretty much guess at what I thought they should be adjusted to before I put them in. (they were a demo model so to speak, that had already been twisted and turned every which way before I got them)

Once the Fronts are installed, I will fine tune the ride height, and then take the car in for an alignment.

I would like to have the car corner weighed, and set up properly, but have to find someone around where I live who does that kind of stuff.

Good luck with the fronts. My install was a pain in the *** because my A arm bolts were seized pretty good..

Hey,

Do I use the stock rubber washers that are screwed on top of my old shocks. (tokico's) With my JIC's ?

They did not fit on the JIC's, and I did not think they were necessary. I don't even know what their purpose is. So should I have these on my my JIC's ?

Cool that is what I thought, just wanted to be sure. Take all the old ****, and replace with just the JIC stuff. do not re-use anything from the old suspension setup.
