jic???

i was told a while ago that these were really good coilovers but now i keep hearing about them busting seals in a year and bad customer service. is this true? who has had this type of experience with them?
if it's true i'm gonna look into tein flex or hks for the streetability and price.
also where can i look up the silk roads coilovers. i think thats the name of them.

thanks,mike

There are also coilovers from Zeal, the B2 which is very well priced. This is also available in US and can be rebuilt or custom valved here in the states.

I thought the B2 was no longer being offered? Too bad as it was a great setup for the price.

Yeah, I see no mention of the B2 coilovers on the endless USA site. Are they still endorsed by endless usa?

Actually we have a good shipment of B2's coming on the next container. They did discontinue it, but kept a few popular applications upon our request. It is an amazing value. So that is there. B2 will be exclusively available thru auto r & D. In fact they are already assembled in japan and ready to ship.

Retail is $1685.00

It sucks cause we have to order 5 at one time as a minimum run qty, so that is what we're doing.

I would not suggest the Apexi kit for the street. The spring rates are super high. The B2 is a much better choice for the street.

JIC makes a mean coilover. They're a great balance between adjustability, ride quality, and handling ability. The only problem is that you have to take it VERY easy on them. Be forewarned, they're fragile. I, however had mine serviced under warranty and had about a two week turnaround time.

lol. "Take it very easy on them", hehe, kinda sounds like an oxymoron. I too have used many JIC products. The results are always the same. They do perform very well for a "period" of time.

N1 very stiff for street. Also you lose certain options of servicability. In fact not many if any of the Japanese company offer custom valving service and have the number of casings and spring models for specific function as Endless.

Bang for buck, silkroad or GP sports anyday. They too lack certain servicabillity because they are so new to the market.

I've had mine for almost a year with no problems with the product or JICs service as of yet.

They've met my expectations in most respects although ir'd be nice if they had more aggressive high speed damping. Also, i'd like to switch to a higher spring rate as I feel it may be hindering the shock overall as well.

I apply them more towards road/mountain driving. Cars overall weight without driver is under 2600lbs, front and rear balance at an exact 50/50 split with driver and cross weights at an exact 50/50 with driver. I'll be attending SCC's TA 2004 event so I'll get a better idea of their driving dynamics then.

If I were to opt for something else in the future, it'd most likely go with JRZ or Moton.

JIC FLT A2s here...rides great...durabilty JUNK! Had to replace two dampeners in less than a year. Sorry folks but for almost 2k? oh and the replacement dampeners are $300 a piece....JUNK JUNK JUNK!

I have never tracked my car just ride on the streets...OLINS are the way to go! I would definitely not purchase JIC or recommend the FLT A2s to anyone....the other disadvantage is the brake support is not on the shock so you WILL have to tie wrap the SS brakeline on the front to the upper A arm or you WILL wear the SS line and leak them (ask me how I know!)
