the "J" in wheel sizes....

the "J" in wheel sizes....

the number beside the "J", does that mean the width of the wheel? just wondering.

I believe it refers to the style of the lip, which represents a "J" shape.

On an FD, I think it says "JJ", which is just a dual J style lip.
