Installed new rotors and pads. now,one wheel makes noise?

installed the dimpled and slotted rotor kit from turboimport.com . yeah, yeah, i know, its only really for looks. but my rotors were eaten up pretty bad, so i fell for the new shiny ones. also installed PBR ultimate pads

now one wheel, passenger rear, sounds like the pad is just sitting on the rotor as i drive. you can hear it,not squealing, but just....... shh.shh.shh.shh...... the whole time im driving, and when stopping. and its related to the speed of the wheel.

my friends and i installed everything. having no experience with anything brake related, i let them do everything(bear in mind, they're not exactly top notch mechanics either....) and mainly just watched. they believe the noise will go away, and that its just the pad braking in. which may be exactly right, but im curious as to why its only on one wheel? are they correct?

just pull the wheel off and check it. See if there is something between the pad and rotor. Feel for score marks, etc.

Check the rear to make sure they install the spring properly:

Worst case it causes abnormal wear if this is the issue.

i just had a feeling the noise i was hearing wasnt the pads wearing in. so i took it all apart just now. i found the brake shield had been bent outward in one spot, and it was resting on the backside of the rotor face! i had already driven it snough to shine it up, it looked polished, haha. bent it back to form with some pliers and voila! no more noise!

well, i say no more noise. but actually the new rotors make some sounds. you can actually hear the slots as they pass by, its like i quick ticking sound. its not loud though, and i can live with it. and they look pretty nice, and the racing beat springs give it a nice stance

Good deal. Make sure to bed the pads/rotors in properly:

i did bed-in the brakes, but not exactly as they should have been.......by the time we were done friday it was 1:30AM and toyota had locked the front gate. so we did the bed-in process in a tight, closed car lot! lol. i didnt get above 35 or 40, due to not wanting to buy a new tacoma! lol

Wasn't there a write up on how to change the brake pads? I can't seem to find it in search. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
