Input Needed: Spring choice for Coil Overs.
I'm going to be ordering a Coilover Kit and would like to know what springs I should look into. What length? Whats a good starting rate? Planning on doing some drift/grip track events, not a serious race car of a particular sanction or class. I don't mind a harsh ride on the street, the suspension on my Miata got me used to a harsh ride.
Also, wondering if anyone knows if the springs that ReSpeed sells are yellow or is that just a default image? Just curious.

AS far as spring choices. The length will determine what coil overs you choose as well as where you weld the perch (If the kit has a welded perch). I recommend 275# for street and 350# for race (with a big sway bar). We have been playing around with 500# stuff with smaller sway bars.
Also, what shocks do you plan to use with these springs?

So the 7" is probably what I should go for? I want to do the weld on kit, and be able to change springs if needed, and don't want to be stuck with 7" if there's only a few rates available. And by the looks of your site, there's only 3 different rates available. Should I go with 8"?

the difference in the 8" and 10" (besides the obvious
) is that a 10" spring with the same rate will be smaller outside diameter. Not much mind you, but it still allows more clearance with wheels.-billy

Ok, I just ordered the 10" springs @ 275# and the Race Coil Over Kit. You don't by chance sell the rear springs with the dead winds do you? Also whats a good starting rate for the rear with the fronts soon to be at 257#?
