increase in wheel size an alignment

need a quick answer please

i planned to get an alignment after i got my wheels mounted, which are 18s. if i were to get an alignment now, then mount the wheels, would i have to get another one afterwards?

It's usually not necessary, but if you change the overall tire/wheel diameter too much you might want to.

no, they are just wheels and do not effect the alignment. It doesnt matter how much of a size difference there is.

would the setting difference i would be running between the 16s and 18s be a detrimental to the tires i have on there now?

You don't need quite as much camber for 18s as you would with 16s. No big deal, just set the alignment for the 18s.
