Increase diameter on FD

Besides the difference in the accuracy of the speedometer, what problems, if any, might I encounter if I increased the diameter of the tire/wheel combination by 9/10 of an inch over stock. 24.85" to 25.71"?

A tire I'm looking at is not available in a 245/35-18 but is available in 245/40-18. Will it make a difference?

Is that a rear tire or a front?
