Thumbs down iForged report...not good news

Not me, but another local car enthusiast. Ordered a set for his Mustang through a dealer on the east coast of Florida (we're on the west coast of Florida). Was told about 8 weeks. It took FOUR MONTHS to receive four 19" polished rims...nothing fancy, a "normal" Mustang offset. And the name Vince came up as being the other guy on the phone promising the world tomorrow and delivering it a few months later

The good news is that the rims do look fantastic. I also heard that the rims are manufactured in the same facility as HRE's, somewhere in Ohio. Street rod wide rims were also mentioned, as in they all come from the same place in Ohio. Not sure if this is fact or fiction.

Bottom line, if you're willing to wait, they're nice rims. Fairly light for being 19's. Looked great too. Just a head's up.

It sounds like they have a cash-flow problem, and need to have a few orders up front, to have their product manufactured at the pricepoint they need to sell at the prices they do... Whereas a manufacturer like Fikse might have stacks of different rim halves and centers laying around in anticipation of orders going out the door. Lemme guess, he had to pay for them up front, because its a "custom" product?

Get some pics of them anyway!

I believe he did pay up front but I'll ask next time I'm over there. Wheels aren't mounted yet as far as I know so I'll grab some pics.

Same happend to a guy I know with a BMW M3. He ordered some 19" Aero and it took about 2x longer than advertised and they had some lame excuse that the UPS truck backed into them at the shipping dock and they had to redo one of them?? That was the cause for the delay. On the positive side of things they look great, but are considerably heavier than the same size/width volk te37.
