I think I screwed up installing my RB springs

only when I got to the rear passenger spring did I realize that I put the strut assembly of the left rear in the opposite way. ie. black label facing towards gas tank. only difference I can see this woudl case is teh spring bottom dish is no symetrical. Coudl this cause problems. Or shoudl I forget about it.

Thanks Guys,

Philip

Hey, I had these springs before, and the Racing Beat labels were white. They must have changed them (again!). I don't think you go by the label though.

The springs should be mounted "taper UP" If you look at the spring it's not exactly cylindrical. It's slightly larger in diameter at one end. You want that slightly larger diameter end to mount UP into the pillow ball mounts, and the slightly smaller diameter end to mount on the shock's spring perch.

I learned the hard way, when my stupid muffler mechanic mounted all the springs "upside down", and the car handled like crap, and scraped everything because it sat much too low!

I know rob robinettes specifically mentions to put them back in the right way(very confusing description). The rear will fit in both ways.
