hub swap for 85 gsl

I want to convert the front hubs so I can get a big brake setup for the front n have a easier time finding wheels for the front anybody have any advice for this the car is gonna be for the strip only n I'm gonna need better brakes than stock

Since you have an 85, you should already have big bearing front spindles, so you could buy gslse front rotors, calipers, and backing plates to convert to 4x114.3 bolt pattern. This is a good option for better wheel choices, but they are roughly the same size rotor as 12a cars.

If you want to upgrade to turbo2 front brakes with the 5x114.3 bolt pattern, I don't think anyone sells a kit anymore to do it. But there's a member doing the conversion with stock control arms and 626 balljoints in this thread https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generati...rsion-1058765/ .

Unless you find a used re-speed big brake kit in the for sale section, these are the only options I know about, good luck.

Thanks for the help that link helped me a lot and now I no what I need to do. But I looked up re-speed n there webpage is still up and everything is still available

Yeah the website should be shut down. I'm not sure why it's still up. I have a lot of re-speed parts on my car and love them but there have been a ton of complaints in the last while about people not getting their ordered parts.

Go in the 1st gen section and search re-speed. You'll find a few threads with all the complaints.

It's too bad cause they're nice quality parts.
