help with wheel spacers

I need to know what is the max offset or max size spacer for the rear wheels without having them stick out past the rear arch.....
trial fitted some wheels on my car and they have an ofsett of 35 but with a 3mm spacer they were still touching my caliper ...so should I get bigger spacers?

Cheers

thanks for replying to my post.

The width of my wheels is 9.5 et 35 on 18 inch rim. the problem is that i need them to clear my willwood rear calipers and i am having some serios problems........this morning i put 8mm spacers and they still didnt clear and the wheel look like it was very slightly sticking out beyond the arch!

I have had my rear arckes rolled already.
I'm kinda stuck....HELP

Thanks

Ed

id sayyy 10mm or 15mm but you shouldve ordered rims where they have the disk A, disk B and disk c options they were made for after market big brake kits.
