Help me shop for wheels! Must be 17" x 8.5" and under $1000

Well, since I can't find a replacement wheel of my current design, I'm just gonna replace all four with something different. I'm looking wheels measuring 17" x 8.5" (or anything that will my Bridgestone Potenza's), preferably another 3-peice alumnium design, and the price must be under $1000. If you guys know of any wheels that match this criteria, or have some for sale yourselves, please let me know.

Check ebay I got mine from there for 300 shipped but 17x7's. I saw(17x8.5's) going for 500 shipped at the time.

Yeah, I'm scanning Ebay as we speak.

Also, I will consider stock wheels if they will fit my tires (front: 235/45ZR17 , rear: 255/40ZR17), but I do prefer a racier design.

this is all i saw, why do you need 17x8.5's anyways? check 17x7's with different offsets also.

I don't like any of those designs in that link. I guess they don't need to be exactly 17"x8.5" as long as they fit my tires (tire dimensions listed above).

I don't suppose I could buy Spirit-R wheels for under $1000, could I?

Those look okay. I think I'd prefer a 3-piece deisgn though. But those wheels are definately an option I'd consider.

By the way, thank you Mahjik and Jgrts20 for going out of your way to post those links for me. You guys rock!

I'm gonna see if I can find anything from our RX7-Club sponsers.

I don't think you are going to find a "good" 3-piece wheel package for under $1000 unless you find a decent used set.

If there's one thing you really dont want to skimp on, its wheels. I know I personally am a it obsessive with wheels, but there is no real single purchase that will set the look and performance of your car than the wheels. For a set under $1k you are not going to find any quality 3-piece wheels that arent boat anchors. Please consider wheel weights (anything over 20lbs/wheel is very heavy) as well as offsets and width.

Re: Spirit-R wheels... no, you won't get them for $1000. I doubt you could find them for double that.

However, I'm fairly certain that I've seen the 17" '99 wheels for a grand a set, but they're only 8" wide, which would be too narrow for your 255 rear tires. Still something to consider.

the '99 spec, as they're called, wheels are 8" wide fronts and 8.5" rears. they'd fit alright if you can find a set at that price.

edit, https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=564392 there are some for sale, dude is asking $1500. maybe if you find a set in little lesser condition?

I have 17X8 F and 17X9 R wheels with 90 percent tread tires for sale... Enkei RPM2. Tires are Nitto 555's I think (I havn't looked at them in forever). I would let them go for 950 shipped.

I doubt you'll find any nice 3 piece wheels for that car.

i have some MODA BBS two piece wheels that i'm selling for cheap. they are used.

17x8.0. Fronts are fine, rears will be a little bulgy but i've seen it done before.

Found these on tirerack for $299.00 ea.
