which hawk is the best? black? blue? how to determine all the different types?

Depends on your application. I chose Blacks because they were slightly easier on my rotors. Blues are very hard on rotors, but do bite very well. Like everything in racing, you gotta give up something, to get something...

so blue is the toughest one? like for racing circuit? and black is for street/autox?

I run HP+s, and they do dust quite a bit..And only after a good 1000+ miles did they start to squeel. But the noise is pretty annoying.

No, Blacks are medium duty racing, and Blues are for heavy duty racing. Blacks are inappropriate for street or autocross!

You'll have NO cold braking power, AND you'll wear out your rotors prematurely. But don't take my word for it, go ahead and use the Hawk Blues/Blacks on the road for a week...
