Hawk Pads Question??
I've been running Hawk Blues for the track and they have been great pads. But one of the local racers, non-rotary guy, is pushing me to try the HT-10s. Is their alot of difference besides the HT's can take more heat?? What would ya'll suggest??
I've also heard good stuff about the Porterfield R-4, but the hawks have been so good to me, street and track pads(different compounds of course), I almost hate to change.

Mainly I'm asking if the HT-10s have more inital bite, tend to last longer, or maybe aren't as hard on rotors as the blues. I want their to be a reason to upgrade, not saying I really want to, because I've put the blues through major pretty harsh abuse just to see what they would take. Which is why I would like some reviews.

If you have stock calipers, you might try the N-Tech pads. Quite a few of the FD crowd use them and like them a lot. They are rotor friendly and have a very good initial bite.

The Lapping Day pads can be easily driven to and from an event.

I like the HT-10's and I'm running 265/45R16 Kumho 710's with Advanced Design coilovers (600lbs/400lbs) and a Tri-point front swaybar.
My rotors will usually last about (3) weekends for HPDE, and I am an instructor at Roebling Road with my best time about 1:22:10 (NASA track record for my class is 1:20).
Unfortunately, I've never run the Blues.
