Hawk Pad installation question

I want to be absolutely certain.

Does the pad with the wear indicator go on the outside of both rotors?

I replaced my driver's side and that was the orientation of the old pads.

I did not remember to pay attention to what side the wear indicator was on, when I removed the passenger's pads.

thanks

I just installed them the same way the driver’s side was oriented. However, I could slide both pads on… with the pad with the wear indicator on the inside or outside.

This was on an FD though. Perhaps the pads are interchangeable.
