Thumbs up Hawk HP+

The Hawk HP+ pads are marvelous. The bite of the pad is so much better than the stockers; I love it. I was expecting just better fade resistance, but the HP+ coefficient of friction is so much higher it doesn't take near the pedal pressure to lock the tires. They still modulate very well, too. Can't wait til the next autox on Sept 30.

I replaced the stock front sway bar endlinks with solid rod ends while I was in there; a simple enough mod. You need rod ends with 10mm bores to fit the stock bolts and some spacers to slide over the bolts. You could use a whole bunch of washers but I used steel tubing so it looks tidier. It made a bigger difference than I expected, the bar reacts much quicker. To be fair, one of my stock ones was a little worn, but just a barely detectable amount of play. The rod ends cost me less than new Mazda endlinks, so I went that route.
