Hankook tires?

Just wondering if there's been any experiences with any Hankook performance tires (high performance or track) and what your impressions are of them. I'm curious because no one seems to talk about them in the same sentence as Falken, Nitto, Toyo, etc.

Rishee,

Hea, hea! I knew you'd be looking sooner or later! I didn't want to call until I got full details worked out. Dude this is BIG! In any case, why haven't people been using these?

They're not available in many sizes yet is my understanding. Hankook is supplying tires for Spec Miata but other than that the other sizes aren't available yet. If they are available it's been recently.

We've been looking into Hankook for a while as well but distribution and sizing is limited. Hopefully we can help with that. lol.

NICE 285/30/18 R Compound

Great Rally tire options. I was very surprised to see the number of "Race tires" they have.

DUDE SICK ROAD HAZARD WARRANTY TOO on High performance tires. If tire is unrepairable in first 25% of the tread depth lifespan they will replace the tire free of charge. That's pretty dope. Get a nail in the sidewall the day after you buy them and Hankook will replace it. Now that's some sweetness. Plus it doesn't cost more.

Still studying sizes and compounds:

Looks pretty good to me. But proof is in the pudding and the "wallet". i'm gonna search around for pricing and see what it's like.

Peace, Rishie

the hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 seems like a very interesting tire. I wanted to buy them, but the canadian distributor does not have 245/45/16 in his catalog even though it is listed for the USA catalog.

I ended up going with yoko es100.

I wonder how the Hankook R compounds compare to say the ToyoRA1/Kumho Victoracer/Yoko A320Rs for lapping and time trial events. I've been running the ToyoRA1 and they seem like a good tires (frst ever set of R compuntds so i have nothing to compare to)
