The RA's are MUCH stiffer, TOO stiff for street use.

spring rates for FC:

HA: 448/336
RA: 559/448

check out tein's page at www.tein.com

RAs are NOT too stiff for street, depending on the spring rates, it can be very street friendly. Don't waste money on the HA. The differences in $600 are as follows:

1) RA has aluminum body while HA has steel. HA is prone to rust and seize the spring perches.

2) RA is monotube design (large valve diameter, short stroke, large fluid volume) while HA is twin-tube - please do a little research on the differences between monotube and twin-tube. Monotube offers a lot more performance (but less comfort).

3) RA can handle springs up to ~18K while the HA can hold up to 10K or 12K before you need revalving.

okay, same question but in terms of the FD/ spring rates are:
550ish/450ish for the HA
880ish/880ish for the RA.
is that street friendly. i dont think it is but is anyone crazy enough to have those on the street. i would think that the chassis would tweak itself. i want all the info on the teins as possible.

Don't forget that you can have an overly stiff spring though, that won't compress when it should be. So decided what you want it for first (autox, road course, drag, etc....).
