Got wheels for my RX, tire suggestions?
My '91 RX needs new tires. It is actually sitting in my driveway with the front drivers tire completely flat. Instead of just buying some cheap replacement tires for the stock wheels I decided I wanted a set of 16" wheels. I found on eBay a set of my favorite factory wheels (the '91 T2 weave design, see photo).
I feel like I got a good deal on them and knew that two of them had some curb damage. So after I get them I decide to see how much it would cost to have the curb damage repaired. I contacted a mobile wheel repair place that I used a few months ago when a tire shop damaged the wheels on another vehicle. After the repair guy took a look at them, he talked me into letting him refurbish all 4 of them so they would look good and uniform.
I really like the wheels but I would probably be sick to know what new wheels I could of had for the same price as I will have in these when they are done.
I should get the wheels back next week.
Any suggestions on a brand/model of performance tires in a 205/55/16?

Searching for 10th's

Falken Azeni RT-61. The 225/50/16 is almost identical in diameter to the 205/55/16. Not sure what the width of your wheels is though.
DiscountTireDirect.com has them for $120 each. Very nice tire, a lot of grip.
The 200 treadwear rating means that you probably won't get 20k miles out of them.

I got the wheels back from being refurbished and they look perfect. I went with the Fuzion VRi tires in a 205/55/16. I only have about 100 miles on them so I can't really give a review of the performance but I can report that they are pretty smooth and quiet on the interstate compared to the "Product of Argentina" Fate-O tires I was punished by for the past three years.
