Got my Enkei RPM2's in (pics)

Just got my Enkei RPM2's in from Rishie at Auto RND. Took a while to get here due to some strikes at the docks in cali, but it was worth the wait.

the fronts are 17x8 +35
the rears are 17x9 +40
test fitted them last nite and they both fit fine. There's plenty of room on the rear 17x9's. The fronts are a little tite running 0 degrees of camber, but no problem at all.

I forget what kind of Piano that is.

Talk to Rishie (ARD TII) about the pricing, but 18's should be available. I'll have pics of them mounted as soon as I get some rubber on them.

Hey the wheels look great! Is that the largest you can go on a 2nd Gen?

You can run 18's front and rear if you desire. In the front you can run a 18,8 with 225/35 and in the rear up to a 265/35/18. This is my thumbs up recipe. Anything more than this will greatly increase your chances of rubbing or pulling a fender lip.

This wheel is available in 18,8 +35 and 18,9 +38. Contact me for pricing if you're interested.

Thanks, Rishie

my dear gawd... I think I've found my new favorite wheel.....

You think they would look good on a black Protege5?
Think they make 17's that'd fit on a Protege5?

hmm.... *evil wheels turning*

wel... it looks like i found the wheel that i'm going to buy...

thanks for making me decide

spool what size tires are you running? i imagine a 235/40/17 on the front? and maybe a 245/35/17 on the back? or something like that?
can u go 17x9s all the way around? since u have the JIC coilovers?

Cheers!...I'm actually running a 225/45/17 up front and a 255/40/17 in the rear. Rishie said that you could run a 235 up front without problems, but how my setup is rite now, I think I need to roll my front frender lips. I don't think you could run 17x9's all the way around without being forced to run some negative camber.

I dunno if you can see in this picture or not, but the tire is pretty clost to the front lip already, 235 would be pushing it, especially under hard cornering.

Damn Natty,

that **** looks so good. If you want to run a 235/40/17 up front you will need to have about 0.5-0.75" fender gap up front. This will allow you to run the 235 without any problems as well as dial in more negative camber. At the height you're running right now you are probably close to the lower spring perch on the JIC FLTA2's. I could be wrong though cause you do have a taller tire up front than I did, so the optics are somewhat deceiving.

BTW, Congratufrikinlations. It really looks great. Especially on white. Job well done.

Anyone who wants these I can get a spanking deal on them. Even if you're international it might be cheaper.

Thanks, rishie

Verrry nice!

Are those rims gunmetal or the black powdercoat? I'm thinking they'd look great on my black R-1 in a 17" size. Hmm.

Rishie are these available in 17" for 3rd gen in silver?

Thanks,

I would say they are gunmetal with a polished finish. I'm sure you can get them on your FD.

i'd imagine it corners better now but did they slow you down at all in straight line acceleration?

They are available for an FD. You can get both 17" and 18" combinations for either application. The finish is what's called a hyperblack or a black chrome type of paint.

It turns from silver to gunmetal to black to chrome. Really beautiful. There are variations of this finish in Advans and several other wheels.

These wheels are very light in weight. They are about 16.5 lbs each. That's amazing for the price and integrity of this wheel as well as it's appearance. It is a strong wheel. I've owned a set.

PM me if you're interested. We're offerring really good pricing right now before the end of the year.

Cheers! What's your email address? I'll send you the pic full size.

I'm at University of Texas at Austin and I think I'm going to be studying Mechanical Engineering and International Business. But it's my freshman year, so we'll see what interests me the most. I don't know if you've tried yet. But there are probably about a billion scolarships out there that aren't hard to get at all. That's the way to go. My friend actually just got a $5000 a year scholarship from Toyota, and it's probably gonna land an SR20DET in his 240sx pretty soon. Where are you at college and what are you studying?

I like those rims on white cars also. I have them on my red one. I am running the 235/40/17 up front with no problems with rubbing or anything. One question for you Spool Up, why dont you have the center caps on them, make then look so much better.
