Got my coilovers. Now what do I do? (TEIN HA)
Hey I just recieved my coilovers 3 weeks late! But better late than never I say. Why didnt they come with a japanese translater? Can someone throw me some pointers on the instalation. Like bigger springs go in front. Lube this and that? You know just some advice. I can get the pictures of the instructions. It just I need a little more instruction. Yeah am an idiot but at least Iam doing the instalation myself!
Also they sent them and they are 24 way adjustable and stainless steel not regular steel and 16 way adjustable? Whys that, although Iam not complaining!
A search turned up nothing to do with installation.
Thank you,
Jonas

If you get Tein coiloverkits with pllo-uppermount,
it is very easy to install.
Go ahead as pics show. No translation is needed.
If not, take care.
When installng by yourself, you have to remove stock uppermount.
Do you have a spring compressor?

All done and yes I had to use the spring compressor since I used the stock pillow mounts. It was kinda a bitch but I got it done. Nice and tight......well to tight since I drove it on its hardest setting on the street for the first time. Bouncing around like a ricer.
StreetKing - I've got the TEIN HA's as well. On full hard, oh ya, they are bouncy. Have you played with them much? I usually cruise with them 12 down from hard in rear and 10 down from hard in front. About 4 down from hard and the bouncy goes away, replaced with jarring...
1/2 way down like I have them now is pretty good for everyday cruising and plenty stiff for those hard cornering opportunities.
I get mad wheel hop where they are set now, need to try some softer settings for better weight transfer and will post my results next week.

I did 6 clicks from hard in the front and 8 clicks from hard in the rear. It seemed pretty good but Iam going to go 1 more click all around down for more of a streetable suspension. Dropped the rear like 2" and the front like 1". ITS SLAMMED!!! I get soooo many looks now...maybe too many. But havent dragged in them..... but your right id go 3 down from hard from front and 5 down from hard in the rear for the track and it still has minimal body roll and still good for the track.
