SC Good Tires for Drifting?

Alright guys, I just got a set of Enkei PF01s on my 86 N/A and now have a set of wheels that I'm going to get powdercoated white and use them for drifting. They are Fondmetals, not sure what model but they're from the early 90s, they're a classic 5 spoke design and are 16x7. What tire do you all think is the best? Suggestions from all price ranges would be great!

You do not want good tires for drifting on a n/a. so the drift wheels that will only be run on the back need to be cheap or free nothing wide and I mean like 215/50/16 is to wide so keep the drift wheels at 185-205 size max.

2nd thought why waste money powder coating cheap drift wheels.... save your money and check the drift section and read read. Read about drifting n/a's look at there setups and do as such.

You definitely have a good point about powder coating the wheels, I probly won't end up doing that. My concern is that this car isn't set up for drifting, its more of an AutoX setup but I still want to be able to go drift when I get the chance, what I'm saying is that I don't want to have the car be a one trick pony, because drifting isn't my normal scene. So if I'm going to look for cheap tires, what kind of compound do you recommend?

And btw for anyone who looks at this or contributes, when I said good tires, I didn't mean expensive or nice tires, what I meant is the best KIND of tire, size, compound, etc. thanks!

on the Enkeis depending on what size they are (wide). I would put something like a 215 to 225 on them as they will be your grip tires. advan ad08, kumho xs or z1 star specs are good choices for the enkies so when your not drifting you can have really good grip tires for street and autox. for the drift wheels 195/50/16 or something along those lines compound doesnt matter just anything you can get your hands on. When I was n/a anything I could find worked hell it still does if its just autox drift stuff then keep good tires in fron on the enkies and crappy burners in back 40-50psi in the rear. that will make it seem like you have a little power. Some of the n/a dudes are really ballsy and run up to 70 psi in the rear.

Like I said before check out the drift section and read read as much as you can till it hurts then read more because if not you better have a fire extinguisher and Im not talking about one for your car either.

Best of luck

So if i end up running 17 inch Enkeis up front, will the 16 inch wheels w/ cheap burner tires still work in the back?
