Good tires?

So on the motorcycle boards there are just a few tires that they use. Haven't read much about it here (I know there are threads about this, but tire technology changes + experiences do too)

So what are some good sticky tires?

Hankook RS-2
Falken Azenis RT-615
Bridgestone RE-01R
Advan AD07

That's all I'd buy for a street tire.

Those are all very good sticky street tires. I'd add the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s and BFG T/A KDW, which aren't quite as fast on a track but also great in rain.

Anything more aggressive won't work well most of the time on the street.

It depends on the size, milage expectations, all weather capability, and price. Assuming you're talking about max performance tires then here's a few:

Inexpensive:
Kumho MX
Hankook RS-2
Falken Azenis

More expensive:
Bridgestone RE-01R
Advan AD07
BFG KD

If you're going to use 225/45/17's then you might want to look for some Bridgestone RE-070's off of a Subaru STi, they're excellent tires and can often be found not too used for a good deal when people go to 18's, or when they need to put winter tires on, or some other reason.

Ah okay. I currently have stock rims from my 91 NA (all season tires on there) Then some toyo proxes t1-s I believe. I had a buddy who worked at les schwab so he gave me a deal on those ($745 install + lifetime goodies + whatnot) Those are 245-45-16's though.

Wow, that's pretty expensive. I had my wheels and tires mounted and balanced for about 500 bucks including the cost of tires. These were the Hankook RS-2s, 225/50/16 and 245/45/16.

Well, I guess I paid for the name then. But I'll try out the hankooks + see how those work.
