good spring rates for mainly mountain use

I am going to be getting a set of silk road coilovers for my fc and my question is should i go with the stock 8/6 spring rate or go ahead and have them set higher? i mainly use my car to have fun in the mountains although it is still my daily commuter and once it is built a little more i am going to be taking it to tracks as well. Since it is still used for daily driving and the roads around here are pretty bad, i am thinking that 8/6 is probably the right choice? please help me out here as i do not know very much about the proper set up for suspension. haha this is pretty much me and what i expect you guys are gonna do to me but any help will be very much appreciated.
