good brake ducts...better brake ducts???

when making brake ducts, I've seen people put vacuum hoses leading do the center of the brake rotor
And I've seen people just put a tube that blows air into the wheel well

Obviously the vacuum hose way will be better but does the "hole in the wheel well" method work just as well???

say speeds are around 50-60mph

here are examples:

Wheel well duct

Rotor duct

both work, but neither are really there for anything other than show on the street, unless you drive like a bat outta hell everywhere. you wouldnt need those unless you were going 140-60 more than like once a minute. but with both, the second one is 'better' both do the same thing, gets the air moveing in a spot of vacuume. meaning theres not any air moveing around under the wheel well. they just get a current flowing. it basically depends on how much time and effort you want to spend on it i would do the first one, it looks easier, and on the second one you have to worry about it catching the wheel and breaking.

The first pic would help, but the second pic is the more effective way to do it. Done properly, you shouldn't have to worry about clearance or cracking/snapping the duct. Yes, on the street, this is a useless application. But for your driving school, this is a tremendous addition. Brake fade will inevitably happen as you brake from 110+mph speeds repetitively over your 20 minute sessions. The ducts are definitely on my to-do list.
