Gonna be replacing some suspension, thoughts?
Gonna be replacing some suspension, thoughts?
Alright my car leaks oil and leaks oil some more, some coming from the oil pan, oil supply device and from the powersteering pump. so alot of the front suspension bushings are rotted, gone or soaked in oil. now i didnt buy this car to put put through the turns so i need to replace all this stuff and make it safe.
Im having some difficulty finding control arm bushings. do i need to replace the whole arm or are the bushings serviceable? does anyone know where i can find them? atkins, no. ebay no. might get em at the junk yard if i have too.
the swaybar frame bushings are real bad, left one aint even there anymore! so i found those for cheap, the endlinks are still good and tight. not planning on upgrading just getting everything back proper. but if you guys have some experience on what i can do to make it better for street then by all means..
PO installed some front struts that dont acept the brake hose clips so they have been dangling and are now indanger of exploding any time so i got the SS ones off ebay that should be a direct fit, haha we shall see. also heavy brake shudder, po installed some slotted and drilled crap i cant turn so ill be replacing them with blanks and new ceramic pads. im pretty excited about getting the brakes working good!!
any recommendations on struts/shocks? cars got kyb on the front and stock on the rear and its a very rough ride but im guessing thats just the way these go carts on steroids are lol.

I'm guessing this is for the FC in your signature? I sell polyurethane bushings for the control arms and also sell stock bushings as well. Keep in mind that stock bushings are more expensive than aftermarket bushings. Check out my website www.j-auto.net for the bushings I carry. I dont have factory bushings on there yet but can get you prices and availability if you'd like.
