The Sumitomo HTR 200 is probably the best summer tire you can get for the 13 inch rim. They come in stock sizes and the 205/60/13 which increases the contact patch substantially without much bulge at the sidewall. As the name would suggest, they are H rated, so not the fastest tires in the world, but for the price, they can't be beat.

If you're looking for real competition tires, Toyo, Kumho and others make race tires that will fit the stock rims, but they are not really usable on the street despite a DOT rating. I purchased my Sumitomos at www.tiretrends.ca and they did a good job, with prompt shipping and informative and personable sales staff.

I've done two AutoX events plus my usual driving for the past three weeks and they seem to be wearing decent, considering my driving style on the AutoX course can best be described as 'loose' . For general street use, they grip very well and provide fairly crisp turn in response. If you got the 195/60/13, the turn in would probably be better due to the decreased area of unsupported tire, but IMHO they would sit too low because of the shorter sidewall.

Lets not forget the Yoko AVS Intermediates. I have found them to be an excellent street tire, Great in the wet with a bit of aquaplaning in standing water as they wear down. I have trhem on my SE and am very satisfied. Used tem in one autcross session and they held up well considering my style to best be described as "sloppy novice."
