GC Coilover problem...
GC Coilover problem...
Hey everybody...
I just installed some Ground Control coilovers on my car that i bought from a friend. The problem is i didnt have any instrustions on how to install them so i just kinda winged it. Well, it came out alright, but i have a question about the rear bumpstops. When the car was jacked up there was about 4 inches between the bumpstop and the bottom of the shock. Now, when i set the car down there is less than an inch. Should i cut the bumpstop down a little bit? or should i just take it out completely? how much travel should there be with these coilovers on?

You are supposed to cut the factory bumpstops w/ the GC. See if they will fax you the diagram (can't find mine or i'd give it to you). I actually used aftermarket stops from Truechoice, and they were about 1.25" long.
Yea. i was going to call GC today, just wanted to see if anyone on here knew first.
ptrhahn, how much did you cut down the stock bumpstops? do you remember? or, how much total travel should i have when the car is sitting on the ground?
