FWD wheels on a RWD car?
FWD wheels on a RWD car?
Wanted to buy rims.. found some I like but the specs on them say that they are for a FWD car.. does this matter at all and will they still fit? I have a 1987 RX7 Base model.
here are the rims in question.

It depends on the car and the wheels in question. Most RWD cars use different offsets than FWD. However, there are many exceptions. For example, the alloy wheels from the 81-85 rwd RX7 (excluding GSL-SE) were also used on the fwd Mazda 626.
You need to check the offsets to see if it will work.

"FWD" versus "RWD" offsets is a marketing thing to help buyers figure out which wheel will fit.
Sorry to burst your bubbles, but the FC and FD use "FWD" offsets.
It doesn't really have anything to do with the strength or structure of the wheel - it's still cheap = weak.
