Thumbs down Fender vs. Tires

I have the Pettit suspension kit with the Eibach Pro Kit springs. I have the stock R1 struts and the stock 225/50/16 tires up front but my Tire keeps biting into my fender and rolling the lip out when I take hard corners and hit a bump or something. I tried to bend it back under and cracked the paint where the crease was. I want to know if anyone has this problem and wether or not some upgraded struts may help or not. I don't want to go with lower profile tires because I am already low enough and barely make it up my own driveway and I scrape every time I go to back out. This is annoying the **** out of me and I am considering going back to the stock R1 springs. Any help would be great.

Yeah, you'll have to be careful going in and out of your driveway. The Pettit springs are fairly aggressive in ride height lowering (so I've read). FWIW I have the stock R1 (Showa) shocks, H&R Sport Springs, and 255/40-17 Yokohama AVS I's mounted on 9 x 17 SSR Integral A2s (45-mm offsets) all the way around. I have no rubbing issues going in or out of my driveway.

You can try to dial in more negative camber to keep the outside tire shoulder away from the fender lips...It would also help if you have the stock 8 x 16 wheels with 50-mm offsets. The stock offset wheels keep the wheel/tires more inboard and away from the front fender lips...

Well, since the paint is already cracked, might as well have a body shop roll the fenders and then re-paint it!

I just went this route on my FC. Though I haven't gotten it painted yet. (got the fenders rolled in a hurry Thursday night trying to bust out of the garage and get my *** moving to MADS)
